'97 1.8 (1834cc) '2000 1.8 (1.797cc) ?
I have a quick question, what's the difference between
the two engines
the 1.797 and the 1.834 models?
Does anyone have the specifications? Kw? and Curb Mass? of the two cars?
I'm looking a buying my ITR finally really soon?
And am deciding between the two modles and engines?
Plese Help ME??
Cheers

The VTEC engines have 195 (ITR) and 170 hp (GSR).
The non-VTEC engine has 140-142 hp (LS & GS).
ITRs only have the one 1.797 VTEC engine.
2000-2001 models have more advanced timing than 1997. 1997 is lighter because it doesn't have A/C or rear wiper.

All B18C's have 16 degrees timing as the spec (+/- 2 degrees precision). 97 is lighter then the other years, then 98, then 00/01. However, weight is very close if A/C is installed on the 97 and 98s.WTypeRogerX wrote:ITRs only have the one 1.797 VTEC engine.

As stated by Roger, the ITR only comes with the B18C5 which is rated at 195hp.
