help...only questions

Post by Airbag »

Hey.. i am planning on buying some headers and an exhaust for my 2000 itr. It's not much power but its something. What are the best? I heard TODA headers are pretty good. :?: I also want to lower my car. Will some springs be good enough? 2inches and put some volk 17 inch rims. Is two inches to much with 17 inch rims . Also will they affect my speedometer or performance? I am willing to spend 5k on headers, exhaust, springs and rims....and maybe more "simple" engine modifications..thanx

You want to make power and spend wisely I would say, Toda Header, SMS Exhaust or new Buddy Club Exhaust coming out in Jan. I would not even consider lowering my car on stock shocks more than .5". Look into some Zeal Function B2's ($1200 ish).

2" is too much of a drop period on a Type-R. You will have too much negative camber and not improve handling.

17" w/ 2inch drop, no way

With 17" wheels and a 2inch drop the wheels will rub like hell. If you're willing to put the money into camber kits and what ever else, you should be able to get away with a two inch drop, although I wouldn't suggest any more then like 1 and 3/4, thats about what we run on the track with the most success.

Later!!
