backfire

Post by Jan Niemi »

sounds like a lean misfire. Add fuel in the rpm range where it's happening for example on deceleration at 5000rpm.... or whatever the area is that it's happening.

fuel

Post by Jan Niemi »

well, if it is in fact a fuel issue, there are some crude ways to modify your fueling.

A. Get a rising-rate fuel pressure regulator. Pressure rises as a function of manifold pressure. (low fuel pressure with manifold pressure at vacuum, high pressure as manifold pressure reaches atmosphere)

B. Get a piggy back such as VAFC and adjust fueling electronically

C. Stand-alone system (big bucks)

Easiest way out is to get a VAFC and get that thing tuned on a dyno.
