exhaust blow by....
Do you guys get much blow by at full throtle ? I got on it and then off it and noticed a decent amount of smoke from the rearend. Then at the red light it continued to puff some white smoke for a second or two...durring normal driving nothing...... I do have the silencer in and noticed the car
on the dyno smokes way more with the silencer in than out... when it's out almost no smoke..... any ideas.....
P.S.... just put on my nittos 555r and i love it.... also have new dyno numbers.... 350whp at 16psi.... 100 oct.... going to the track Wens... to see how the tires work out....

smoke
usually white smoke is coolant being burned.
I just get a huge puff of black smoke when I hit VTEC on boost, other than that, I do burn about 1 to 2 quarts of oil every 3000 miles of hard driving, no white smoke though.

numbers
Oh, nice dyno numbers by the way, you should hit low 12s to high 11s on slicks with that much whp.

I thought coolant also but i never get low..... what kind of times do you think with the nittos and 300whp .... i'm not going to run the 100 oct. wens... so i have to be a little easier on the boost... i'd be happy with a 12.8 or .9 considering the altitude....

I don't see any reason for not going high 12's with that amount of whp. I would consider drag radials though, you'll get a few tenths in just your 60 foot. I've run a best of 1.8 60 foot on my drag radials, and I don't think I'm quite making 300whp (never dynoed)

The 555r are a drag radial... we will see..... you're probably talking about the bfg's.... i was going to get them but they don't make the size i needed.. 205-45-16 for my mugen mf-10's.... i lucked out finding these nittos because nitto doesn't even make these any more...

the nitto's aren't really that good of a drag radial. my friend had 225/50/16's on his eclipse and he ran just as good with his 18" street tires. with that much WHP look for 12.7-13.0 on those tires. you should get 2.0-2.2 60ft's on those as well. as for blow by I get a bit of white everyonce and a while but that is coolant from what I know, but as you said my coolant level never drops so I don't know. I get black smoke on shifts and at vtec crossover. if you start gettin blue then start worrying

Wait only 350whp on 16 psi with 100 octane in a 2.0L?
(when you say Type R are you talking about the B18c5 stroked to a 2.0L or a 2.0L in a TypeR?)

it's a fully built b20 block 8.1-8.5 comp....85mm piston ,darton sleeves with a portflow b16 head ... type r intake mani. and throtle body... and si cams... the car made 350 at 6500 rpm ... on 100 oct.. we ran out of time on the dyno and had a spark plug wire pop off on the run... i'm going back to make a couple more runs and should make about 375-380 at 16psi.... and 425 at 20-22 psi... it's built for it... but i don't think my injectors will make it past 18 psi... their only 534cc... i think i need 750's
the car should run 11.5 on slicks at 16 psi... keep your fingers crossed for me...
