Some notes about the JIC FLTA2 RS - INFO!
Some notes about the JIC FLTA2 RS - INFO!
First, I figured some general info would help.
What are they?
The FLTA2RS is a custom tailored coilover system based on the JIC FLTA2. The RS uses all the same components as the standard A2, the difference comes in the configuration.
After ordering a set, JIC has a small interview for the driver to fill out basically outlining the purpose of the car (autocross, road track, drag, grocery getter ), your driving style, and the basic setup of the car.
After this is done, the JIC engineers figure the best spring rates, dampening, valving, etc. based on their expertise and your plans. The coilovers are produced in Japan, sent by boat to JIC USA in CA and then to the dealer/shop/distributor.
What is the wait?
Since they are pretty labor intensive, and made in Japan, the average wait is about 2 months from order placement to arrival to your door. I have had some orders, take longer, some shorter.
How much do they cost?
Due to the custom nature, there isnÂ’t a set price for all applications. If extremely stiff spring, or helper springs are required, the price can climb pretty quickly. On the average though, the RS series is about $200-$300 more than a standard A2 (about $1400).
Group buy pricing has been set, please IM, email or call me for the pricelist. There is one set level for 5-9 and another price break @10.
Let me know if there are any questions, or anything I can help with.
Thanks,
Kyle

8 I say!! =)
Chris - who says JIC's are going to be on a lot of cars at the expo... seeing as 7 out of the 8 people confirmed i'm 100% are going to be at expo 4.
Sounds like we have 11 people!
Anyone who is committed to the group buy, please IM me on here or HT or email me at cnicastr@yahoo.com and let me know your proposed setup (spring rates, etc). I'm going to be helping kyle gather information to try to speed up the process with JIC.
