Just get an icebox, use your head when driving, and you should be fine. That is unless you have some cash to spring for the Moooooogen. Good luck

I have never used one but the J's racing intake looks sweet! since they
all perform similarly thats the nicest I have ever seen.

As far as short ram, the J's is a great intake.

A short ram really isnt going to do anything more than add noise and a litter better throttle response. Stick with stock or a cold air system like comptech/mugen, where the filter is in the normal location. To hydrolock my comptech, i would literally have to drive into a pond lol.

try BMC cda, ive got it in my teg, itilizes a short ram but the filter is surrounded by a carbon fibre box and has a cold air feed to the air filter which goes in place of the old resonator box

I still can't understand how some people get so much water into the CAI that it messes up the Motor...

I have had my AEM CAI for 3 years and traveled through all kinds of weather without any problems.

I do try to avoid big puddles and driving in the Atlantic ocean but I guess some aim for them.

SGT did an intake test over at HT and the J's short ram came out on top.
