Integra Type R owners...
If there was one thing that you could have changed from the factory about your R what would it be???
( must be a reasonable request/ not reasonable would be to ask for RWD )
My request would be a two part thing, Cruise control and a sunroof.

swed
Cruise control maybe. a sunroof totally takes away from the purpose built car.
I would say sound deadening more than cruis and I don't miss the sunroof from my GSR one bit. Actually glad it is gone. more head room for a helmet and no sun in my face during mid day.
Disclaimer: I hate convertibles and only like sunroofs in the evening and at night. If I owned an S2000 I would remove all convertible mechanisms and put a hard top on permanently. I would likely even seal the targa top on an NSX

Sunroof is a defianate no. It takes to much away from the body stiffness.
Cruise control no. Why do you need it if you are constantly accelerating
Sound dampining no. I love the sound and it helps with the weight reduction.
Going with the racing theme of the type r, I would do a greater weight reduction. Throw in a rear upper strut bar like the jdm. Raise compression to 11.1:1 like jdm. Keep the jdm recaros. Hell, just give us the jdm

Definitely a cruise control for me, I wound up getting tendonitis in my right knee from highway driving ;-( Then again, I don't use it as a daily driver anymore, so I wouldn't care as much now.

Can you get tendonitis from that? If it's in you're right knee...then wouldn't it be your leg you use to accelerate...so you'd get that in an automatic anyway.Ford Prefect wrote:Definitely a cruise control for me, I wound up getting tendonitis in my right knee from highway driving ;-(

Yes, I got the tendonitis from trying to hold my foot up (preventing excessive speed) during long road trips (every weekend). I didn't say I wanted an automatic transmission, I wanted a cruise control!pUrExTc wrote:Can you get tendonitis from that? What to change?
I love this car to death but it needs....MORE TORQUE.
I almost died at The Glen try to gather speed up the monster esses and back straight.
A4's that I usually dust, were gaining on me on the uphills....oh well.

If I had to say anything, I'd guess it would be a bit more low-end; that would make it better around town. Otherwise it's just great, esp for the $. I don't miss a sunroof one bit, and enjoy the headroom. Even with long distance travel I haven't missed cruise control, tho I use it regularly with other vehicles I own; just the feel of this car I guess makes me want to stay in total control - more fun that way.
Cruise?
As for those of you who need cruise control.....who cruises an ITR.
WFO is the cruise position it likes best!

Re: Cruise?
I wouldn't mind the R to come with the JDM front end(w/ HID), Recoros, and JDM steering wheel.

Re: Cruise?
I like the USDM front end but HID's would have been perfect. And I love the MOMO steering wheel. I don't even like the JDM seats so I would had to change them either way :pChaze*R wrote:I wouldn't mind the R to come with the JDM front end(w/ HID), Recoros, and JDM steering wheel.
Re: Cruise?
Small steering wheel. JDM - sized header/cat/exhaust. Higher compression and ctr pistons.

whats missing?
Acura should rig the directionals into the shift nob, That wey you can signal and screw at the same time, no gooofy left hand searching tricks!
Oh Man, where is the copwright button!

HIDs on the US front would have been nice.
More compression, more like 11.5:1, but the JDM 11.1:1 would have been fine.
Real gauges. A engine temp gauge with actual numbers, instead of what we have. An oil pressure gauge I think should have been in a car like the ITR.
Six-Speed manual. To allow for the JDM final drive and one low... low... low 6th gear.

JDM FD nothin. WIth 6th speed we need then 4.929! I love the ATS just with that I had 6 gears!FSTASNTZ wrote:HIDs on the US front would have been nice.
