I hope this doesn't post twice, but, looking for info on $ value of my car. Coming off lease, 2001 PY ITR with 26500 miles, no mods, pure stock and looks better than when I drove it off the show room floor; even the engine bay looks new, honestly! I'm in Dayton, Ohio and seem to have the only ITR in town, or possibly in Southwest Ohio; if there is anyone else on this forum with one in this part of the state or country let me know.
BTW, 49 years young, a little older than most ITR owners, according to this forum, remember, the older you are the better you keep things, just kidding!! Honestly, looking for advice on this topic, no intent to offend!
Thanks, Steve

18-20k. You going to buy it and sell it instead of returning it?typercrazed wrote:I hope this doesn't post twice, but, looking for info on $ value of my car. Dave,
I do intend to buy it, but not sure if I want to sell. Been looking at S2000's to replace the R, but the R is just so rare in these woods and I keep thinking it will only go up in value over the next 4 to 6 years. I see lower mileage E30 M3's go for pretty darn good money and wonder if the R will achieve that status?
Thanks for the thoughts on the price 18 to 20, but it looks like on this forum not too many Rs, even in great sounding shape, go for that. How come?

Some people saw it will, some don't. I'm one of those that don't think it will achieve that status but I've been wrong before. :shrug:typercrazed wrote:I see lower mileage E30 M3's go for pretty darn good money and wonder if the R will achieve that status?
A lot of people ask 18 or so. 00/01s are worth the most currently while 97/98s can be found for 12-16k easily enough. 00-01's I've seen sell for 15-22k before. With that mileage I'd think you could find the right buyer (not likely the first guy with an offer.. ) who'd pay between 18 and 20 for it.Thanks for the thoughts on the price 18 to 20, but it looks like on this forum not too many Rs, even in great sounding shape, go for that. I agree alot with dave but If somebody really wants it and being thats its
stock and you are 49 that goes along way at least with me. I paid to much
for mine as it was at a dealership but it just turned to 20000 and a 60 year old man drove it.(i had seen him around town he lived near me) I see R's
on auto trader with that milage for $22 to $25 all the time and they sit there for months but it could sell that high. I think people in the know on
this board low ball used R's IMHO, but when they are stock with low milage
and no salvage title that is the ultimate used R we all hope to get. across the board $18 to $22 all day and maybe that young kid with rich parents
who really wants one would pay the higher price. remember they are rare
and all the ones here in vegas sold for $4500 above sticker! I think they will always have value,M5 or classic muscle car vaule time will tell. my 2 cents
