What car cover do you use?

Post by schao »

Just curious if you use a car cover, and if so from what manufacturer? Thanks.

I use a factory Honda car cover you can get from the dealer. They never made one for the ITR but the car cover for the other models seems to work fine.

I have the factory car cover for INTEGRA TYPE R.
I bought it from a guy on this forum about 2 years ago. It's grey, and it fits over the stock spoiler. It says INTEGRA in red on the front. When I get my digi-cam, I'll post pix of it if interested. No, I'm not going to sell it.

That is the way mine is. But what i was saying is that they never made one specifically for the Type R. THe cover that you have fits but it was made to fit the other models.

no, it was made for TYPE-R. Fits over stock spoiler and fits perfectly around the bottom of the back and front lip.
Trust me, it wasn't made for other models.
Back in '97, before I had my car, I saw pictures on the internet of this car cover that was given away as a promotional item with new '97 Type-R's. I'm certain this is one of those.

Thanks, I suspected that Acura made a custom cover for the Type R, but 'll have to see whether my local dealer can still get it. Does anyone have any experience with Customcraft or other 3rd party supplier?

car covers aren't the best thing for your paint if your car isn't clean.

I just went to my local Walmart and bought one of their $50(Can) covers.
Its made by Fastco. The cover is a size C and it even has type r in the listing on the back of the box. I cover my R and my winter beater(92 Integra 4-door)with it. @ like $35U.S. your good to go! just make sure you wax up your car nice b4 covering it.

Any chance you can post a pic of your WalMart special covering your ITR, or email it to me? I don't mind paying more for the right fit and protection, but not if I it's not necessary. Thanks.
