Seems to have only the lightest modifications. Some people will object to the removal of an ITR wing.

Find out why it's a "rebuilt" title.

Go get a close look at the car or get a trusted advisor to do it.

Otherwise, sure, it looks like a very decent deal. Salvage and rebuilt titles are always good buys, provided the work was done well.

WHOA! i dont believe what i am hearing. a rebuilt title is a good deal? from my experiences i will never buy a rebuilt titled car again! yeah they might seem to be a good deal at first if the work is done properly BUT you are screwed if you get into and accident and the car is totaled or if you car is stolen ( which type Rs have a reputation for) your insurance will funk you over since the title has a scar on it. a few years ago my GF got into an accident with her 88 crx si and they only gave he $1800 for it even though the car was immaculate condition with semi low miles. at the time crx's that were comperable in milage and condition were selling for over $3500. i know its not that much of a difference but you only get $1800 to find a nice cheap car WTF are you suppose to do with that. CHECK YOU INSURANCE FIRST TO SEE WHAT YOUR INSURANCE WILL COVER IF ANY OF THESE TRAGIC THINGS EVER DO HAPPEN!

Thanks for making us think about the insurance angle.

I'd personally probably buy a rebuilt or salvage title, but you're right, the insurance is certainly something to think about.

:) Thanks.

IF you have plans on keeping it for a while, you better check with your ins co first- they might not provide you with Full coverage on a salvage title car.

Also if you need to sell the car down the road for whatever reason, your not going to be happy with the money you get from the sale- its going to be less as less as time goes on.

IF you could afford a clean title R then I'd would recommend that route.

all are nice with the exception of the "R"icers dream  but im sure that one can be brought back to good health. more than likely the stripes are vinyl so removing them would be pretty easy.

dammit you dont need an ITR you need a 400hp WRX :D

combination of things. i dont use it to go up snowboarding anymore since we got a rodeo. my GF is afraid to drive it since it is so powerful. i relized that i dont have enough time to goto the track as i used to so i wanna keep out of trouble (not streetrace) and if i keep it i will be always have the urge to go out and make some easy money like i used to do in my HS days. i just need to try something elese and i havnt had a honda in about 3 years and i think id like to go back to them for a little bit. there are just so many reasons.
