Read this article about how insurance rates are set.

Instead of listening to a bunch of people in different locations and backgrounds reciting a bunch of quotes, go to one of the web-based services like Insure.com or Insweb to get a quote for your own specific situation.

Wow I must be lucky.

My insurance will decrease by $25 a month going from a 2000 Type R from a 1999 LS.

How weird is that? :)

I think it's pretty weird that you told us two cars that you are going from, without telling us what car you are going to. Image

My policy is $1900/6mo for a 2000 ITR. Im 21 with no acciidents, no tickets, no DUI. When I had my LS, it was $60 cheaper for a 6 month policy. PA doesnt really see any difference from the LS, GS, GSR, to the Type-R.

Well i live in Canada, Vancouver and i pay $123 a month, with full deductables, and full coverage. My insurance is through ICBC. They seem to have pretty good rates as long as you dont have any accidents (pray to god i dont)

Gee, that's very helpful.

Maybe someone can tell us how much they pay for insuring a Pontiac Aztek, too.

Different vehicles have different insurance rates. We all know that. So posting a rate for a Civic Si, or a Pontiac Aztek, adds zero useful information about the Integra Type R.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but these are the ITRCA forums, for sharing information about the Integra Type R.

I am here because I own an ITR. I drive it on the street and on the track. I am happy to share my experience with it, with its tires, with how much insurance costs, etc. I'll be instructing in my ITR at the ITR Expo.

Instead of posting only personal attacks and irrelevant remarks here, go find a board where you can share your experience with the Civic Si and actually contribute something that's relevant there.

Okay - before this goes any farther, Ken (nsxtasy) has always been very helpful for us at ITRCA.com as he is elsewhere like Honda-Tech. Before you begin busting his chops making claims that you don't know anything about, please consider our forums as an educational & enjoyable experience.

Quite frankly, Ken was correct in his assessment of your "si" post AND was not being rude or obnoxious in his replies. Looking a second time, he could have just as easily let your post die.

We appreciate your participation on the boards only if you can do it in a friendly manner.

Peace- :D

this is pointless... jiahanhao, adios. I'm not going to come to a board where people needlessly flame for no apparent reason. If the thread starter had a problem with my post then it should be up to him to call me out, your post was absolutely pointless and you simply didn't have any need to waste another post getting pissy with me over nothing.

I came here to learn about Type Rs because thats what I was truely looking for when I bought my Si. If I tell him how much an Si costs per month compared to a type R, whats the big deal? Get over it nsx whatever. Learn some manners and learn how to treat everyone with respect.

I can see this is how the board is run, like Club Si or honda-tech...which I will never be at either. The people that cause the problems get defended. Fine. adios
