Whacked! wrote:How old were you when you bought your ITR? Cause I'm only 16 just got my lisense, and about to by an Integra LS, feel mad cause dont have enough money to get a Type-R :(. Please say 20 and lift my spirits up :)
Good things come to those who wait. Be patient.
I got my Type R (first brand new car I ever owned) when I was 24. (After graduating from college)
Be thankful about an LS- they aren't bad. My first car was an automatic baby-blue Dodge Omni- not only was it no fun, but it didn't want to run half of the time. Luckily I managed to destroy it thereby forcing the purchase of another car (take an Omni off-roading it won't last long before "expensive" things snap- and yes that was the reason I was off-roading it). So at 19 I got a VW Corrado G60 (super-charged) it was so much fun- and my first stick. I loved that car, it was the car that turned me onto cars- but it turned into a $ pit as I drove the piss out of it for 5 years (as did the previous owner), forcing me to get a new car at 24...the Type R.
Learn how to drive in what you've got, and be thankful its not a baby blue Dodge Omni. You actually will develop better driving skills by running a slower car initially and then stepping up to more performance and hp. (A the "lesser" the car the more perfect the driver needs to be to make the car perform as the "lesser" car will not compensate for driver short-comings.)
