0-140mph video?
Anyone want to post a vid of them doing 0-140 with the camera on the gauges? This would be sweet. I am new to ITR's and I want to see how they pull above 100mph. Thanks
i agree the Type-R does pull pretty well after 80~130 MPH. I was racing on the freeway (I know you all don't condone street racing, and this was a long time ago, yeah, I'm gonna get flamed just for saying this) against a Civic Si.
Keep in mind this Si had some mods (what, I don't know, but clearly an exhaust pipe, and a tach with a shift light (fine, no power gains from the tach, i know). I'm bone stock, and I had a car full of people with me (my homie riding shot gun, and our 2 dates in the back). We started our run at 90 MPH (average cruising speed in southern cali at 2am). He kept up all the way to 140. At 140 MPH, we were pretty even. I was watching as my speedometer was going 141...142...143...144...very slowly. i was in mid to high 7k rpm. at this point, i fanned the clutch to "jump" my car ahead. as soon as i was in front of him, i hit the hazards and coasted back down to 80 MPH.
On another note, one of the girl's had commented that her friend has a Type-R with a CR-V motor that's been turbo charged. She said she was surprised by how well my car was pulling being all motor, stock, and with a full load of passengers. anyone else done this CR-V forced induction set-up?
