Saw a gorgeous CW ITR (probably a 1998) this morning parked in front of specialty shops on Putnam Ave/Post Road in lower CT town (don't want to specify which one to keep thieves guessing). It was spotless, and had temporary license in rear hatch, so I am guessing that the new owner just got the tags on Saturday and was enjoying a sunny first day with the car, stopping for breakfast/shopping when I spotted the car. Are you on this board? If so, welcome!

C'mon man your almost drawing a map for any thief lookin to scope out a nice R to take and hack up.
Be careful when posting up this type of information. There were 2 R's stolen in Jersey last week.
And just incase you don't think CT is dangerous. When I bought my first R from Schaller Acura In Manchester, they kept my car inside the garage till I could pick it up bacause a month earlier some fuckwads broke into their lot, and stole another PY and stripped a Black one right where it stood.
Be careful, it's still Not safe.
where am I?
Do you know how many miles and towns Putnam Ave/Post Road runs through and how many specialty shops there are in CT? Furthermore, I did not indicate which state those temporary plates were issued from, nor its actual number/letters. Finally, I am acutely aware of the risks and pain of ITR thefts as I am on my second '98; my first '98 was stolen with only 6k miles in 9 months of ownership. Didn't really think about buying a replacement ITR for fear of another theft, but found one that was too nice to pass up. The last thing I want to do is to jeopardize this car's owner. I understand you want people to be careful, and you are entitled to your opinion as to whether or not I was careless in my post. However, I believe I was careful and choose to treat your response as an unwarranted annoyance directed toward me that I will tolerate as your intentions are fundamentally sound.

Just curious as to what response you are trying to solicit from me? Could it be that you don't know that Putnam Avenue/Post Road is not an intersection, but is Route 1 that runs all the way to Massachusetts, or nearly 200 miles? Finally, Route 1 is a predominantly commercial road, not residential; the section of road where this particular ITR was parked was all metered parking in front of commercial establishments and not residential. The owner of this ITR may or may not live in the the same town, let alone that area where I saw the car parket. If you can you figure it out, PM me and I will apologize, cease and desist, and buy you and your significant other dinner. I can accept your general concern that any posting not give thieves any help; when you direct that concern toward me, than I feel an obligation to understand where I was negligent and will not accept a "I believe" argument. BTW, as a friendly suggestion, you should reconsider listing which city you reside in unless you feel comfortable with your precautions on your carl.

Don't know why you feel so defensive, we've seen just too many R's go missing in the Tri-state area in the last few years, with at least 4 in the last 2 weeks alone.
It was never meant as an attack so please refrain from retorting with term paper length responses. Although, I applaud your literacy, something sorely lacking online these days.
We (all of the NY, NJ and many CT guys I/We know) care to have as much anonymity as possible and although you may feel it a vague description, it gives a thief more than enough to go on and or look for. Post road isn't too far off of 95 and is a great Sunday drive for some scumbag from NY, CT, MA, or RI to go pick up a nice R.
Sorry if you felt attacked or a need to defend so fervently.
Many of us are just looking out for one another.
I guess we just don't see eye to eye.
Cheers
