Dunno about that and is so, I think most sneaked across the border to the states. I can't remember the last time I saw a '97 in Canada.

when i bought a Car&Driver back in 1997 with the type r feature in it they said 400 were brought in. Now if that's 400 to Canada and 400 To us i'm not sure. Mine is 1997 #255.

I verified and 500 were sold in US but in World of Wheel it is written 160 in Canada. Now I can't explain why you have the no 255 :?

badge number is not separate between USDM and CDM type R's :) And is not guaranteed to be strictly split at a specific number, AFAIK there is typically some "overlap" around the divison point.

Were all 2001 ITRs exported to Canada Champ White? Were other colers available that year in Canada (PY or FB)? Also, were only the Champ White ITRs produced with the red interior?

I called Acura of Victoria, and they said there were only 250 01 R's sold in canada. I guess cause they are CW they pretty rare cause the states couldnt get CW ones.

1997's like mine with no a/c weigh approx 2700 lbs with driver.
I've also seen dyno charts showing a difference of a few horse between 98 and 97's same with a 01 vs 97 except the gain is smaller cause the 01 had the more aggresive intake cam. Either way I've been to the track several times with my car and similar and higher tuned r's couldn't touch mine? With the right bolt ons, no cams, no gears I'm running 14.40's these guys could break 14.80's. I don't know, I guess I got a good one.
