I would like to see your mods and then your AVG time in the Qmile.
I know that some don't drag race but some do, so post up your times.

Me: AEM CAI with stock tires= 14.73 best. avg time 14.90

13.838 @ 101.81 is my best.

Backed up with a 13.88 and a 13.90. Lots of 14.0 and 14.1's too.

With just an AEM on RE730's I ran a 14.65 but it was a lot warmer (90 degrees vs 50 degrees).

I have . . .

Mods:
AEM, JDM 4-1/Carsound, Hondata IM Gasket, Stock Exhaust, Power FC (poorly tuned), Toda Cam gears, 00/01 ITR intake Cam, ATS Final Drive.
Azenis on Millenia Wheels (21 psi)

Weight:
Full interior, minus Spare tire and jack/tools. Odyssey Battery (13.2 lbs) 1/8 tank of gas.
Approx. 2495 lbs

Q-mile time

Post by Jan Niemi »

13.6 at 107mph
factory tires
8-9 lbs boost (turbo)
tuning (V-AFC, FMU) if you want to call that tuning

main weakness is traction, I plan to adress this , but am undecided
on whether to use drag radials or a small slick
by spring 2003 I'll have made up my mind

in fewest words as possible, Shorten your gear ratio. therefor when your car goes thru the power it is putting to the ground faster. Now the side effect is that the cars top speed will be shortened.

i ran a 14.668.

about the shorter gears, thats what i was asking about in the N/A Forum: What do you think of this setup? but i'm still looking for a sports transmission (i'm not worried about max speed (i'm hardly ever over 120 MPH)).

14.705 @ 95.25 stock.
Currently, 13.208 @ 101.74. Car was falling off in the top of 3rd and most of 4th. We will see what it does next season.
Yes, I drive it daily...

14.1 can't remember mph @ Sacramento Raceway.

AEM CAI, Comptech cat-back, DC JDM Header and drag radials. Still had traction problems trying to dial in tire pressure and launch rpm's. 2.2 60ft. time.
01 Type-R #492......SOLD and sadly missed.

That was slicks, MT 22x8x15 on Koesi K1s, the exact same one I have for sale in the classifieds section. Car was dying off up top, plan to remedy that this off season. Temp was about 80ish degrees.

i ran 14.8 with a person in the car then 14.3 by myself then a 14.2 launching at 4rpm anything over i lose traction. going back soon hoping to pull a 14.0 flat trying to improve on my launch then i'll launch higher at about 5 or 5500 rpm maybe go for vtec launch. my friends say my tires were to new, so i c wassup when i go back and let yall know. peace
