Gas Fumes

My ITR is giving off so much gas thru the exhaust and it hesitates when it starts. When I start the car it will bog if I do not rev the car for a awhile and when it does idle the gas fumes are really strong from the exhaust. I recently changed the fuel rail to JG fuel rail but that's it. Once it steadily idles it will run perfectly even when I run it hard, but it eats up the gas as quick as my R!

I changed the fuel rail before on a GSR but did not experiene this problem. I do not want to give up my fuel rail so any ideas what I can do? Cuz damn gas is getting expensice!!!

Any suggestions, please?

you changed fuel rail you said do u have the stock fuel pressure regulator on or is it aftermarket it could be that the fuel rail had more pressure then the stock one that could be your problem

I have a AEM FPR set at a 40psi with the JG fuel rail. this weekend I put the stock fuel rail back on to gether with the FPR and the car is running much better. But I do not understand. I see everyones set up on this site and they alomost all have it on their R. Is it becasue JG offers a bigger diameter? I spent the money for the rail I want to use it but if it is going to cause some damage to my motor forget it.

a fuel rail isnt needed for a stock application it is used most on turbo cars becuase the demand for fuel is mandatory you could use the aem fpr but just dont use the jg fuel rail also it would be good to have a air/fuel gauge if you havent already got one this will tell you if you are running too rich or too lean
