What's it worth?

Hi, I've been a member for a while but never actually posted. I just wanted to find out what I should pay for a '98 ITR in mint condition with 40,000 miles on it. The mods include:

Comptech Header
AEM CAI
Apex Cat-back exhaust
skunk 2 short shifter & knob
vtec controller (Apex)
alpine alarm

The car supposedly has never seen rain or snow, always covered and has never been raced. They are asking $18000 will take nothing less than $17500. What do you think? Should I buy it or pass and find another? Please let me know. I don't want to get gouged. Thanks in advance.

I'm Lookin for a 98 Type-R too but I think 18,000 or 17,500 is to much money. Thats just what i think.

If that car is in really good condition that is probably about right .I know someone that sold a 98 all stock with 40k for 20,000 to someone in California.

Thanks for the input. I will be taking a look at the car tomorrow. From the pictures that the seller provided and description of how the car was used, I think that it will be a good buy. Any other comments about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Most importantly I would get a compression check done. Just to be safe.

Will do, the car will be taken to the Acura dealer to get it checked out.
