What Parts Should I Use?

Post by talktonight »

I have a 2000 ITR with a AEM Cold Air Intake, DC Headers, and DC Cat-Back Exaust. I am thinking about upgrading my pullys and timing belt. Wasn't sure what is the best for my car. I was lookin' at Unorthadox Racing Pully Set and Skunk 2 Pully Set. Which is better? Or is there another Set that is better? TODA makes a racing timing belt that i was thinking about using. But i've been told by some people that my car dosn't make enough power to need it, and that it won't last near as long as an OEM belt. So i thought maybey a JDM belt would be better. Is there any difference between the OEM and the JDM belt? Thanks for any advice.

Save your money, pulleys do nothing I have tried both . Build your head and get cams. Get obd1 and dyno tuning. Which pulleys do you mean? Cam gears- get skunk2 and a stock timing belt. They will be fine . Get cams.

Management should be 1st IMO.

But he is right, pulleys will do nothing for you. Get a good set of cams. If you plan on more compression later, like in the high 11s and 12s, get an agressive cam set. If not, get a good "a" or something and have fun.
