Newbie looking for advice.....

Post by typerster »

hey guys... i just got my 01 itr. I've been saving my money to get this ride for awhile. Anyhow, I'm lookin for some upgrade and need some advice. I'm not looking to race, I like the nice look better. Thinking of getting some exhaust and header to give some look.

any comments are greatly appreciated.

Well for one are you in Cali? If so are you worried about staying 50 state legal?

My best recommendation is go JDM with it...

I'd go with an air filter first, either mugen, comptech, or AEM. Mugen is one of the best brand for honda, and cant go wrong with them.

Check out tunermarket.com as a resource for upgrade parts. They seem to have a decent selections of online shops, and it's definitely a good parts finder tool:

That's so funny I just heard about that tunermarket site from one of my friend. I think it's great idea. I haven't had time to check out the site too much but they seem to have some stuff for itr. I'll check it out more, thans for the tip.

Btw, yup I live in Cali and not worried about staying 50 state legal. However, my budget is about $1000 - $1200.

They have reverse bids now. Pretty much you join GBC (its free) and then start a reverse bid. You post up what you want and the parts dealers try to under bid one another to make the sale.
