body kits on the type r

Post by 00civicsiturbo7psi »

today i saw the biggest rice type r in the world.
one horrible bodykit, stickers and graphics all over it, double deck aluminum wing, and some wacked out tail lights!!!!

all this to a champ white r!

im all for the look of a jdm conversion.

but i never saw a bodykit that looked good on an r. have you?

not to say all body kits are bad looking but i never saw a good onre for a r.
i like acuras optional body kit better.

well just want to here some peoples opionions on bodykits for the r

i would rather have my car go faster but some people love show.

i would love to check out some foriegn bodykits for the r if anyone has a link.

The Wings West kit looks nice but I would only go with the OEM R kit or better yet, the GSR OEM sideskirts and rear valence.

Body kits help set individuality.. i have a R that has a body kit... no big deal..looks better then stock..and it's more appeal to me. The JDM look is good but been seeing it around to often. To each his own i guess, but there are alot of ppl that dont do it right...

he probably has a canadian r.
oh i didt say all bodykits are wack but i really havent seen a nice one for the type r yet.

i have a bodykit on my 00 civic si:

blitz front
buddy club sides
buddy club rear

as far as wings go i love the stock r wing but to everyone his own like you said. i just wanteed to get a couple of links to boodykits on the r just in case i decide to go that route or just leave the r in stock trim. i also been deciding about a possible jdm front end conversion along with a jdm bodykit.

I like mugen body kit(not to fond of the wing though). It is just pricey, expecially when having to do the conversion.

Hell, check out Pac. Perf. whole site, excpecially gallery 4 and 2!

Thats funny, I sat in that white ITR in the picture you put up, Pacific Performance is only like 20 mins from my house. Thats actually one of the few real right hand drive ITRs in south florida. They actually had two, sold one, parted out the other, and are now waiting to import a new Integra type-R, or as the kids around here call it, the RSX-R. If you guys want, I have somewhere if I can find it, pictures of that white ITR at Moroso, the car is pretty bad ass, mugen body kit, exhaust, airbox, valve cover, sway bars, strut tower bars, and pretty much all the other stuff you can get for the car, not all that incredibly fast, but kool as hell.

Later,
Aj

u know i have to agress with you the JDM does and it probably the best kit for the ITR, if your not a fan of the round lights. if i ever get money saved up i wouldnt mind getting a JDM front end. probably got wit the Bombex.. i really like there fronts for some reason.

my two cents: why put a body kit on a type-r? get a gs-r or an ls for that. Type-R is something special, and shouldn't be brought down as a show car. you don't get the luxuries that the gs-r has (moon roof, cruise control, etc.). It's great to drive, and purextc to race. it's a "racing" model integra. why spend the extra money to get a type-r, only to treat it like just "another integra."
