Any reputable Clifford Alarm dealers/installers in IL?
I'm about to take delivery of 01 NHB Type R next week and would like to know if you fellow forum members have any recommendations for a reputable Clifford Alarm dealer/installer in the northern Chicago suburbs/Gurnee/Milwaukee area? I've always wanted an R since Honda started shipping them over, but wasn't able to afford one. Now that I can afford one, all I can get are used ones......but oh well. A clean 1 owner super low mileage R is perfectly acceptable for me. I'm so excited about getting my very own ITR!!! I haven't been able to sleep. Please help out a newbie forum member and fellow ITR owner.

If money is no object, THE place to get car stuff...
...installed is abt electronics. They do trick installs, they have a whole bay full of cars in the summertime getting various stuff installed, they have a showroom of a car they did do...stuff is expensive there though!
Did you pick up the car yet? I was #2 in line, but as of last night I am off the line, since I found and bought one myself! Good luck.

FYI Clifford alarm systems are no longer owned by Clifford! Either they were bougth out, or they went bankrupt. I did ALOT of research on alarm systems about a year ago. 6 months ago when I finally got mine installed it was the latest and up to datest Viper model. Clifford is DUN-DONE! No support anymore even if you buy one and have it installed by a place that still has/installs them. They are sooo obsolete compaired to the Viper alarms that are on the market anyhow. Just my advice/ $.02

abt, best buy are a couple of shops, however with the current theft in the area i would suggest an installer that you trust and know personally. A couple of us use one guy that we've known throughout the years and does custom wiring to as well. i.e. kill switches etc. I'm not trying to scare you or anything but there are many shops out there who have installers who are involved in some theft rings. My advice is take it to a shop that has a good reputation and get to know the installer. Watch him install the alarm, a good installer usually is pretty open with suggestions on what you want, such as extra sensors and cut off switches etc. Just be careful on some installers who just do the quick fix a rupper method to just get the job done but not "well done".

Who is your installer?

So who is the installer you are referring to? Can I get a name and number? Please PM me if you don't want to post his info publicly. Thanks.
