need booost...questions

Post by 96TypeR »

hello ...i love this site......ok i want to boost my type r, it only has 3k miles on it. lost motion assemblies, skunk2 titanium valvetrain, cam gears, aebs intake manifold, 70mm throttle body, kenji programmed ecu, VAFC, zex plugs, fuel regulator, JE 11.2 pistons, stock type r rods ... plan on doing a t3/t4 kit cutom build.....
how easy is it to install the block gaurd and considering i have it what would be a high but safe boost level for the car.....plan on dyno tunning . thanks

11.2 its way too high  I dont think you can go more than 8psi with this comp , and you will need a good tuner :)

No TypeR block won't take more boost , You need to sleeve. But if you wanna run 6psi you should be ok....and dont forget Tuning is the key

Where you from ?

Block guards are bad Juju! Expecially because 98% of people install them incorrectly. Just sleeve your block, Darton, Golden Eagle, or even AEBS.
