Rain water getting in the hatch somehow! This happen to you?

Post by newjersey_itR »

I have a 98 CW itR that is daily driven and kept outside, none the less. I love the car to death and take care of it the best I can. My latest issue with the car is after it rains I notice that there is a small puddle of water underneath the spare tire that is under the trunk mat. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it? I try to look around for a spot where the water is seeping in, but it's like a mystery. The weatherproof stuff appears to be in good condition. Mabe more water is getting in when I drive in the rain.

it's very common in Integras. It's usually the tailight gaskets that are worn.

I had the same problem, replaced w/ new OEM gaskets, and no more fish tank in the trunk.

In my 93 LS I had the same problem. Check the drain hole in the bottom of the trunk and make sure it's clear. The cause though is more than likely the weather seal around the hatch.
