I think I would stick with the Honda power steering fluid. I have seen other PS fluids make the pump whine. However, I have not had any experiences with Royal Purple fluids. I use all OEM fluids except for motor oil, I use Mobil1 5W-30. If you do switch let us know how it works.

I was thinking of doing the same thing! I ran nothing but royal purple in my 05 gmc sierra since day one and loved it....but I've only used honda fluids + Mobil 1 10w30 in my R. Only reason I've continued to use mobil one is because the previous owner said they always changed oil w/ mobil one. I wonder if there's any negative effects to changing the oil type after so long?
