Hey everyone,
I want to buy an ITR in the next few months to use in Solo2 racing. I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to which years to look for, where I could find a stock car, how much ITR's usually go for, etc...
Any advice would help.
Thanks!!

There are too few to worry about which years. And they're basically all the same.SaraITR wrote:which years to look for
If you care about color, look for '97-98 if you like white, '00-01 if you like yellow or black.

It depends on year, condition, mileage, etc. A really nice, low-mileage car can be $16-20K. A ratty, high-mileage car can go $12-16K, even less with a salvage title.SaraITR wrote:how much ITR's usually go for

Let's also not forget that the engines are pretty much the same every year. For US models there was a slight change in cams around 2000. There was also a slight difference in suspension changes in 1998. Generally, you will pay more for a 2001 as opposed to a 1997 (if you can find one )

As rob has said, pretty much for the whole Integra line-up that came with a manual transmission the third gear syncro tends to go out first. Sometimes the hatch will leak on the two door model (like mine is doing now ) and the front headlights and rear tail lights will fill up with water. I've owned three GS-R's and one Type-R and these seem to be common problems. Other than the tranny, everything else is relatively easy to fix.Bbasso wrote:Watch out for worn/ broken trannies. People that abuse the car, the tranny will show you first signs. Such as Syncros, grinding at high rpms...
Also look out for motor mounts they seem to fail if driven hard. I know cause I busted three out of five
