Transmission shakes after the installation

Post by j_doggs77 »

After installing a lighten flywheel, aftermarket clutch and pressure plate to a 97 integra type R, the transmission shakes. The shake goes away if I press the clutch pedal down. The clutch pedal gets really hard to press down about half way.
Does anyone have an idea on what can be the problem?

Thanks,
Bbasso

Parts installed:

ACT Clutch Kit part # AI4-HDSS
ACT Extreme pressure plate part # H025X
Fidanza 8lbs aluminum flywheel

The car seems to want to stall when I shift gears.

you gotta adjust your idle. Common problem when the flywheel is mad lighter. Why did you get a lighter fly wheel if you dont mind me asking?

I would not adjust the idle, I had the ACT XTSS clutch with the comptech Al FW and it was fine.

I bet there is something else wrong.

does the car actually stall?
If you were to rev it to 6ooo rpm and then let go of the gas, will it stall or does it catch it self and stay running?

I chose a lighten flywheel to reduce weight that will hopefully improve the acceleration. I plan to just go naturally aspirated but will see in the future.

The car does not stall if I rev to 6000 and let off. The only time it acts like it wants to stall is during shifting.
