Acceleration is surprising!

Post by Jacques79 »

Holy shit!

I've had my R for a week now and I'm just starting to drive it on the highway. The car is 100% stock except for better brakes and tires, I just took out the air box.

The acceleration is intoxicating! The car really ''darts'' forward like a bullet. It's not the torquey feeling of my old WRX that pushed you back in your seat, it's more of a sense of the car being sucked forward into another dimension or something!

And the freaking sound until 8800RPM...insane...never new this little 1.8 engine could make such a vicious high-pitched F1 sound! Beautiful. It makes the same sound as a 50 000$ car, not a cheap exhaust note.

I knew the handling was great, but never imagined the acceleration and brute force of this car would be so intense.

Thank you Honda for building the S2000 and the type R!

You really feel like you're driving a vehicle with a REFINED engine, that has been studied and developped very well, not just some big heavy 5 liter V8.

In 5 years I want an S2000 and a type R in my driveway :D

Don't you have too much torque steer with the added torque and horsepower?

Eh, maybe a little. You just have to watch your inputs a little more closely

I never got bored of my WRX for a year, I drove one last week and still loved it even though people told me I'd get bored.

You get used to it, but still enjoy it just as much.
