Ok, a few questions... Remember, I'm new to all this ITR stuff...
Wheels:
1.) how much do the stock ITR wheels weigh?
2.) what wheels does everyone else have on their ITRs?
3.) In your opinion, should I use the stock ITR wheels for race wheels and get street wheels or the other way around?
Exhaust:
1.) I need a light-weight cat back exhaust for solo2, any advice on who to go with, what to get, who to stay away from etc?
2.) I love the way my car sounds, but I am a little concerned with breaking sound levels at my local events, does anyone have problems with the noise level of their after-market exhausts?
Thanks guys!!

I use Rota SS for the street and Kosei K1 for trackSaraITR wrote:2.) what wheels does everyone else have on their ITRs?
If you not looking to spend more then nessary, then keep the stockers for street and buy a 15x7 for track.SaraITR wrote:3.) In your opinion, should I use the stock ITR wheels for race wheels and get street wheels or the other way around?
I don't know weights of exhausts but he BCIII has to be one of the lightest ones, but also probably one of the loudest.SaraITR wrote: 1.) I need a light-weight cat back exhaust for solo2, any advice on who to go with, what to get, who to stay away from etc?
If you want gains and not extra sound then look into SMSP and Hytech, I have have heard both and could not belive how nice they sound. But there is one problem... the cost, it's rather high for them.SaraITR wrote:2.) Stock, with street tires.SaraITR wrote:2.) what wheels does everyone else have on their ITRs?
Stock, with track tires.
Steelies, with winter tires.
Street wheels are for looks; track wheels are for function. If you like the looks of the stock wheels, use them on the street, and get the cheapest beat-up set of appropriate wheels for track use. If you like the looks of aftermarket wheels, use them on the street, and the stockers on the track.SaraITR wrote:3.) What autox class do you run in? If you are in stock, you are restricted to 15x6 (same dimension as stock wheel) wheels, and Mazda Millenia/929 wheels fit that bill nicely (cheap, same fit as stock, and lighter at ~12lbs)
If you run non-stock classes go for 15x7 or wider wheel, I have a set of 15x7 SSR and also 15x7 K1s. K1s if you can find them are a fine choice.
As far as sound, what decibel limit and how is it measured? With I/H/E and Spoon N1 i was about 93db at WOT measured at 50ft. Our restictions were 96db though, so no prob there. Quieter choices would be Fuji RM01a, Mugen Twinloop...others....

Do not blow compressed air into your mouth or ears.

Wheels: what jetydosa said.
So far I haven't been able to convince myself that getting rid of 8 lbs of non-rotating weight that is low and in the rear is worth it, but on the other hand, it can't hurt.
Hope that helps.
The 2004 DS national champ ran a magnaflow cat back on his ITR. IIRC, he said it was about $340 new, was about 8 lbs lighter than stock, and was louder than stock but still daily driveable.SaraITR wrote: Exhaust:
