My car is spazzing out on me! Please Help!!!

Post by talktonight »

:x My car is spazzing out on me! My speedo bounces around and all my lights flicker going from brighter to dimmer. My car is throw a code 20. I looked it up. Something about an Electrical Load Distributer. What the hell is that? So I tryed resetting my ECU by disconnecting my negitive terminal on my battery. That didn't work. This all happened after I took her to the drag strip for the first time. I've never done a dead stop launch on my car before. Friends of mine said to rev it up to about 3000 rpms, this sounded to high to me so I did it at 2500 rpms. My car got some nasty wheel hop. From what everone said at the track that that is normal on FF cars. I am thinking something got shook loose when this happened, but what I dont know. please help me! I am in college and broke so I dont have the bank to take her into the acura shop for repair.

20-Electrical Load Detector defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor.

I would suggest going out to the car and start your search for a loose plug. if you can't find one then I suggest heading over to P1Auto.com since you are in NC. Maybe Jack could help you out.

This is the first time I have heard of this happening, sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe one of the members here might be able to point you in the right direction..

Im sure Jack at P1 could find and fix the problem. Im just a little tight on money right now so hopefully someone on here has come across this issue, so I can try to fix it myself. I checked most plugs and sensors ( the ones that I can see without having to put my car on a lift or taking parts out. The ones I looked at seemed fine. So again if anyone has any sugestion it is well appreciated.

:D Yay I fixed my problem! All it turned out to be was two blown fuses. My alternator fuse and my speedo fuse. So gladly a cheep and easy fix.

Good to hear.
It always sucks when its the $.50 piece that goes wrong.
Yet, its always a relief when its the $.50 piece that went wrong. :D
