Hyperfest July 8-9 2006

Post by Bbasso »

July 8-9, 2006 Summit Point Raceway will be doing Hyperfest 06 ! ( NASA )

As many of you know it winds up being a ITR meet for many and people come from far distances.

So is any one thinking about going this year?

I think I'll go again as a spectator, camping was too much fun last year to miss this!!!

If this wasn't so close to the Expo, or if it were about 4 hours closer, I would make the drive. Maybe the events will be a little farther apart next year...

DO eeeit!

It's worth it... too much fun just watching!
Camping for the weekend even with the rain, 930% humidity, blaring Sun, 300deg in the shade and Andie blowing things up was great!!!
I have no plans on driving on track, just watching. I think the whole weekend cost me $100.

I'd have to take at least 3 days off work, possibly 4, and gas alone would be close to $300. If it were later on in the year, I would seriously consider it.

This is one of the bigger events in the DC/VA/MD/PA area. It's not unusual to have 5,0000+ people wandering around over the two days.

The Hyperfest is actually only on Saturday 8th.

The Honda Challenge races will be on both the 8th and 9th.

There is a BSR event on Friday the 7th, so a few ITR people make it a three-day weekend event.

Tremendous weather held out from Friday through Sunday. :)

H1 and H4 Honda Challenge classes will be interesting this year. There's more than one dark horse that shows promise.
