I have used some short shiters on my integras and for the Type-R I would actually recommend just installing Poly Urethane bushings. I use Energy Suspension Poly bushings and it makes the shift so much crisper. THe shift length on the R is just about perfect.

Just My opiniops.

As for Shifters get one made of steel. Neuspeed or Skunk 2 should work.

Poly is poly and there isn't much you can do with the design of the shifter bushings. Best part is Energy Suspension only costs about $15 for the kit.

THis one isn't rocket science so don't try too hard to improve the wheel :p
