I'd like to go fishing, but I plan on brining a pole anyway. There's an inlet we can go fishing at that's right between where Daytona ends and New Symrna begins.

No no, a Pier just goes out into water, no structure to it. An inlet though is much different. The sea floor goes from really deep to fairly shallow. Plus it's longer than a pier. The inlet also has a jetty so the rocks also provide a place for the little fishies and crabs to hide. Anyway...
