Whats up gents!! Dave, how was the beach? I'm jealous! Weekend was pretty boring..... Firday night I had an alarm at work and had to drive 60 miles to check it out Got home at 4 in the morning...
Beach was fuggin awesome. Only thing missing was some decent surf. Someone did actually get bitten by a shark not to far from where I was at. http://www.wftv.com/news/9488351/detail.html
Other than that, went through quite a few yeunglings and all that. Not to mention some other non-mentionables.

When I go swimming or diving I carry a rather large knife with me. For that one time I see a shark- it's not getting a piece of me without a fight. You might think it sounds silly to bring a knife to a shark fight but a shark's first bite does not do too much damage. It's for testing and tasting, and that's when a knife should be used. Right thru it's head! eye or anything else that will deter a bigger attack.

<-- sleeps well at night
I bring a chainsaw with its own intake snorkel attached to a floating bouy above. Theres not a chance he's getting me without some major damage to himself. Just have to remember to fill up the tank before going in.
You guys = pussua's. I bring nothing but my baggies and my surf board. I've got a closed fist if that thing comes to close. Otherwise, I don't want a knife in my pocket.

No sir, but if you go back and really read about what attracts the sharks in the first place... It's shiny objects in the water. I'm already putting myself out there with my shadow of a "seal" But really, no need for a knife. Trust me, if I see one coming he's going to get a mouthful of surfboard, pointed end first followed by several punches to the nose and a judo knife fist to the gills.
If I was attacked by a shark, everyone on shore would get one hell of a show!!! Either the shark takes me and I dont return to shore, or my big ass comes walking out of the water dragging a shark with me!!! It would be one hell of a fight!
