I'm just teasing boosted cars can be alot of fun (at least when they come that way from the factory or are completely built right), but no matter what NA will always be better in my mind. The power just feels so much better.

That said. I would kill for a 180sx with an sr20det at about 400whp :D

This is the main thing I'm looking forward to. I already drive the mother-in-law's Mercedes 99% of the time because I've made this ITR too track oriented for the street.

I drove the car to buy ice cream at a convenience store tonight though. :P

I will always prefer N/A also. I think it all comes down to the better throttle response that only N/A can provide. A nice boosted setup can come close, but N/A will always be better as far as throttle response goes. :D

180sx's and S13's are too old already, IMHO. The S14 is pushing it as far as age goes, but I'm just trying to use that car to learn before I pick up a S15.

I just like the smaller, fairly lightweight chassis, the hatchback, and the looks of the car far better than any of the other ones.

I'm still going to try to work a S2000 into the stable when I get back to the States. It was supposed to be a sure thing, but I'm beginning to think that I may have to chose between the S2000 and another car (to which the S2000 cannot hold a candle).

It'll be unfortunate if I can't find a way to get a hold of a S2000, as they're GREAT cars. :(

It depends on what you want the engine for. My ca18 is getting ripped apart but I want to keep the bottom end, because it's indestructable. I prefer it. Yeah it's harder to get parts for because it was produced for such a limited time, but I think it's way worth the effort.
And as far as age goes, the 2jzgte is getting up there in age too, does that make it any less spectacular? No.

Regardless, good luck on your car search.

The hatchbacks have a flimsy chassis when compared to the coupe. Also, popup headlights FTL!

that makes good sense and at least you have valid reasons and aren't just making arbitrary claims based on little to no good reasoning. :)

Those pop-up headlights are hot, but I grew up around 944s........

The flimsiness isn't going to matter so much once the kind of cage I have in mind gets in there.

Holy crap!

You're the only person I've ever known who prefers the CA over the SR. Every single one of my friends who drift their 240sx's with SR's has spun rod bearings. They've all gone to built engines since then, and have been bulletproof.

I know the SR won't be bulletproof, and I know I'll probably end up toasting at least one of them, but that's a risk I'm willing to take.

Please don't take offense to the age comments. It has nothing to do with how good a car/engine is. I'm just strictly speaking about dated looks and dated interiors.

I still really like FD RX7's and some of those are 13 years old already. :O

I grew up around 911's, so pop-up headlights are the headlights that came on those bastard 944's. :P I'm j/k, though I did grow up around 911's. I just hate how commonly the pop-up headlights on S13's seem to fail. It's a damn shame when only one of your headlights is up.

So you're really building a S13 hatchback? :D
