Oh, for crying out loud, no one is verbally attacking you, believe me, if I were, it wouldn't be so mild as a inference in a post. Further, your statement was very general, and all you said was you had never heard of a 500hp integra and at the time we were not just talking about NA integras, the topic had drifted quite far.

Again, I'll make my point simple and concise in regards to you taking offense at everything. If you can't take some sort of joking around, or mild criticism from time to time, you should stay away from computers and the news media, as it seems it may upset your delicate sensibilities.

I appologize if I come accross as singling you out personally, or am giving you undue sarcasm, as I am not, but frankly, I just don't see your problem.

I was very interested in reading about the ITR in uscc and was thoroughly disappointed. That's the best he could do for 80K? 2 1/2" downpipe? come on. If I read correctly he put down 382hp to the wheel, but they didn't say if he was sprayin' on that run. They said his quarter mile run was done using nitrous, which wasn't very impressive. I think this guy really embarrassed the ITR, in front of Oscar Jackson and everyone. The car has potential, but was not ready for the uscc. And less shiny stuff is better.

I'm glad someone out there is willing to take the heat with me over that Type R in the USCC. Even GSR's put down better then that with turbo

But I do like the divorced wastegate!

Divorced Wastegate

Post by Jan Niemi »

I had a divorced wastegate for a while, when I finally got off my ass and connected the wastegate exhaust to my downpipe, I could hear the car detonating at full boost!!! With the divorced wastegate, it was so loud and raspy that I didn't hear the detonation. Luckily my engine is still in one piece. I immediately turned down the boost to around 1-9 psi. The sound of the divorced wastegate exhaust was like a moped on steroids (sounded like complete shit!)

I hear u too for 80K it should have done better. I saw the car at the 2001 Nopi Nationals, he got 1st place. The shop that worked on it is http://www.baszracing.com they have other ITR's there and NSX's. Also i hear u shouldn't run more then 6psi on a stock ITR motor when it's turbo charged.
