Also, Jim. If you look at page 49 then you'll see the setting for white balance in direct sunlight

1 Do we have a setting to take pictures in black and white?
2 On my friends Canon PS he has a setting to take a picture with the main object in color and the background BW, do we have a setting like that????

That's cool that his camera actually has a setting for that. What model Canon is it? I'm sure it's not an XT or D20, probably more expensive/exotic than that.

Its not an slr, its a point and shoot. Dont recall the model.

Hrm. That's cool. Some of those P&S camera have quite a bit of features. The BW issue was the only thing that almost made me get the D70

Well B&W is easy on any kind of photo thing. PS and Corel both have a B&W button...
