Awww, dammit!! Reading ownz me, I seen "keychain" and glazed over the rest of that. I would have wanted the poster and brochure, I'm leaning towards a 1998 as my first ITR

'01 GSR=beater?
You gotta gitcha that '98 ITR!!! You'll find out the GSR is a little more fun on the street (more low end W/ the dual-runner intake and the R is more fun where you have a stretch of openly curvacious road. :o
However the GSR suspension will feel so mushy when you get used to the R, you'll prob'ly want to put coilovers on.
The Type-R becomes an extension of your body...kinda like your bow. 8)

That's what I'm hoping for
No GS-R here, just a GS. Non-VTEC but with leather, 5 speed and 4 doors. I'm actually pretty happy with the performance of the base engine, at least for daily duties. Only the suspension could be tightened up some.
The ITR will be my pure fun car for good weather. I won't be driving it in the snow or to the grocery store, she'll strictly be used for pleasure
Trying to pay off the GS (paid a lil too much me thinks but its Certified from the Honda dealer) and/or save up and pay cash for an ITR. I really don't want 2 car payments at the same time.
My hunting pics if you're interested :P

So what about you? Any more Integra's in your future?

Cool hunting pics. My nephew got his first deer last winter at 8 yrs old!

I swear I feel like a junkie without a fix. Wish I could go to the dealer and drive home a brand new "98 ITR today. I bought an EVO IX MR and I think the local EVO crowd is getting tired of me whining about how good the Type-R's are. I feel like they're about to serve up a piping hot mug of STFU!
I'm too broke to start modding right now but have the itch. I took the EVO to my first track day Sat. and had a blast!
Me+smell of hot brake pads =shark+smell of blood in the water.

I'm definitely a big fan of Evo's especially the IX MR. My dealership (Honda and Mitsu under one roof) ordered 7 Evo IXs to hide on the back lot, even they hate the Evo X concept. :P I definitely would love an Evo someday, but the big difference to me is, that I would beat the crap out of an Evo and daily drive it year round, but I would take great care of an ITR and drive heR only in dry weather. They're special 8)

*Misses hunting*

I just dont see anthing in the price tag of an EVO! Too much for a good car...

As for the baseline GS Teggy (B18A/B engine)... Either LS/VTEC (Non Cali of course), or a Boosted LS! WAY easier tuning on the LS for a boosted option (No VTEC lobes). Plus the tranny is perfect for boost.
2000 ITR #00-0124

Old crappy Civic- $300
Nitrous kit- $500
Blowing your motor when attempting to run a Type-R- PRICELESS!!!

BowHunting begins Oct 14 here, can't wait
I've thought about a mild turbo in the 6-8psi range. Two problems: 1) I'd rather put the $$ towards an ITR 2) The GS is the daily, with no substitute, so can't take her off the road.
I was also checking nonvtec.com, they really have some nice options for an all motor buildup for the B18B1. I wouldn't want anymore than 220whp. I'd think it'd be hard to get any more power than that to the road through 205 wide tires :P

<---apologizes to Gary for jacking his FS thread, I shall stop. :)

DSM quality is garbage! I have built Mitsu's before, and the drive train always goes to $hit! Hell yeah, they make great power and cheap too, but it will always break trany's, transfer cases, and rear ends! Been through quite a few of each listed above before...

Can't beat that Honda quality!!!

I've got a rollcage for an R I need to get rid of... Trade you an OMP 6 point for those mirrors...

And how is an LS tranny good for boost? Or an LS engine for that matter?

Diff on the tranny is weak and the gearing is too long. The only positive aspect for boost and LS motor is the compression of the A/B1 is lower.

Personally, I've always believed in a higher compression/less boost. Spool is better, as well as, response being that much better. Dynamic compression guys... dun forgot about that stuff....It applies to boost as well as NA.
