Pegging 150 at VIR

I mounted the mic directly beside the blow-off valve and intake.

lol this is what Ill be faced with unless I can get my tranny gearing adjusted.

do you have any cooling issues (coolant and/or oil) on track? are you using a half size radiator or full? using an oil cooler? these are the things I have to take care of over the winter.
practice chaos to develop control.

he got a civic with a gsr motor with a type r tranny and his shit dont get locked??? I got a ek civic with a TURBOED JDM TYPE R MOTOR (b18c) and TRANNY!!!! but my shit was locked...GAY!!

I was a vendor at one of the expo's a few years back. So I guess I get a little leway?

Whew. I spiked my oil temps with the first FR setup last year on the third lap at VIR full. Was running a half-width radiator. Upgraded to a full-width (had to get a new manifold) and finally got the car road worthy earlier this year. Jack drove the car at the We-Todd expo at CMP and eveything seemd to be fine. I had some issues with oil leaks from the return line weld on the oil pan. So I went ahead and got the Moroso 5-qrt pan. Oil temps never went above 280 and I'm NOT running a oil cooler.
Now manifold temps are another issue!!

cool. I still dont know what I am going to do. I have NO ROOM for a full size radiator, and have already dealt with high coolant temps on hot summer days. I might have to remove my coolant lines for the turbo and see if that helps. Ill figure something out. And I havent really had a chance to beat on my car for extended periods of time so I am not sure what my oil temps will do yet. :?

what are you using for brakes? I assume you arent on stock civic brakes with just upgraded pads?

If you got the aluminum moroso pan, I think it helps keep the temps down due to more surface area, the fact that it's aluminum and holds 5 quarts..

Nice car btw...150mph is some serious speed :shock:

I was running a half-width Fluidyne when I had the JRSC. If you can't go wide, try to go deep. Bigger oil pan really helped. I also ripped all the rubber seals off my hood and spaced the back hindges up about 1/2". It helped with airflow, don't know how much though.
I wouldn't remove the coolent lines from the turbo. It just sounds bad.
