Ditch the VAFC... I'll never use it again. And Jack had tuned my car with it.
Nothing bad to say about Jack, but the damm VAFC... Worked like it should, just not right for our caRs.
Go with Hondata, even a simple one will be better.

well obviously a more dynamic/standalone system is far better and on my list, but the VAFC does what its supposed to and expected to do very well.

I know, I jsut hate the fact of going to obd1, finding a jumper harness, and a p28

standalone writeable computer from Apexi. They're version of the AEM EMS although they had theirs long before AEM. Thats what I'm going to get eventually. Its not really that expensive.

I've only dealt with Hondata. The vafc has been sitting in my glove box for years.

yeah I do. I had Jack tune mine just so my car runs right. The obdII motor in an obdI chassis with a kenji P28 ran extremely rich, but now it runs very well and makes good power too.
PowerFC is between $500-$700 brand new depending on who you talk to. So once you add up the cost of all your stuff to set up hondata the difference isn't really that great for all the advantages of the PowerFC.

I didnt realize you had obd1.. 5-7 isnt bad, you'd spend atleast 5 trying to get hondata...

yeah it shouldn't take long at all. Its crazy seeing Jack tune. He does everything in a minute or two and it done and the car is running perfectly.
