I hate to say it, but you might have a better chance of getting a response if you posted this on TI.net they have a lot of knowledgable people that have hooked up GSRs there.

Well being that the engine is "Fresh" as you stated I will assume its all fully built and everything is wearing into one another. Rings into cyl. walls and the like. Hence why you ALWAYS do a proper break in on a "Fresh" engine build.

One more suggestion after a question...

How long was the engine all tore apart for this build?

ok 2 part question...

Also list everything that was changed out (Not specs here, just a list of what parts were changed and what was left in from the original engine)?

If this was all tore apart forever and a day without oil circulating through it seals can dry up and leak. (ie. valve seals, ect.) Ya see where I am going with this?

Well for starters the only thing that was left stock in the head and block was the rods but they were balanced and i put all new bearing and the crank but it was repolished and balanced also with new bearing and everything else is new...

SETUP: B18C1 block and head with mild port and polish and three angle valve job..

Supertech high compression valves and titanium valve springs with all new valve stems and valve seals.

stage 2 Blox cams also kept all the rocker arms stock but repolished the surface.

usdm TYPE R pistons .20 over stock with new rings and piston pins

All the seals and gaskets thru out the whole motor were replaced and i had the block resurfaced and cleaned out completley.

ARP head studs and all bolts thru out the motor replaced with ARP also like i said before all new clevittie77 bearing.

I broke in the motor very slowly and correct..
And yes the motor was laying around for a couple of months but all the work was done in my cousins machine shop so we always oiled up the piston walls and crank..basically anything that takes oil got it..

Hopefully this helps and i will also post it on that other site ..

Thanks very much guys i really do appreciate all the feedback and help..

Hmmm, You do have me stumped then. Sounds like you did everything correctly and as long as the break in period is done with and all rings are seated properly, then I am without a suggestion.

Ok suggestion (Almost had me  )... Do a compression test real quick and let me know the results. If a cyl. is reading lower then I might have your answer. No I am not thinking head gasket either.

Ahh bro, its not a problem. Any site I am on I try to help my best. Hell sometimes I even learn stuff or come up with new idea's while trying to help someone troubleshoot stuff.

It's all in my blood bro! Father was a mechanic, I started at a young age, and for the last 8 years have also been a aircraft mechanic. I troubleshoot crap all day every day! HAHA

Post up each cyl. compression for me. If there is no conciderable difference, then I am pretty much out of idea's right now. I am up by Sac, and only if San J0' wasn't that far of a drive I'd roll down and help you personally!

Hey KNOWLEDGE,

Ok i did the compression test and its all bad..

#1 cylinder (82)

#2 cylinder (85)

#3 cylinder (80)

#4 cylinder (94)

And i did it over and over to just be sure even bought a new compression tester to be sure and about the same each time..

My guess is the rings are fried..Any opinions on what i should do now...

Thanks bro
