me too.......the metric system makes so much more sense. Although I'm pretty happy with miles instead of kilometers.Chris N wrote:I hate our stupid measurement system here

in the context of the rest of the world, who largely uses metric, its stupid.Dawn, Destroyer of Worlds wrote:Meh, it's not so bad. There are worse, more obscure systems.Chris N wrote:I hate our stupid measurement system here
especially in terms of science/space/automotive/etc.
one unified system would probably eliminate a great deal of errors...
i do like mph, maybe just b/c we are used to it. i rode for a few months with kmh/km on my bike, and i got used to it very quickly.

there are probably better languages out there that we could use as universal.... funny you said that, today i was actually thinking that i'd like to learn another language (took 6 yrs of spanish but its mostly gone)walker111 wrote:

You did inspire me today, Erik. After seeing your wash/wax/photoshoot yesterday, I spent the day detailing my GS inside and out. And a nice thick coat of wax to start off the winter
Your opinions please... I notice the rear wheelwell trim (that thin black stripping on the edge of the sheetmetal) was holding alot of dirt up against the metal. I removed them for now, not sure if I want to put em back. Seems like it would be a rust catalyst. Whachu think?

having them on is far more likely to cause rust as water gets trapped in there. I took mine off years ago.Doespike wrote:Erik95LS wrote:man, no one even asked about my overly long abreviation
