honestly? i would not get an CF lip at all.

Everyone I know who has had one has broken one. And then cussed themselves out for ever buying one.

Now, yes, i know there are many people who have them and love them, never break them, etc, but its bound to get hit by something eventually, or an off track excursion, curb, something, debris on highway, theft, etc.

but in the event that you dont care what i say (which no one does - LOL), i'd say get the one that dawnz0r and clamz0r picked.
x4. unless its a trailer queen, its going to get ruined in no time. Although of the two, I do like the first one better.

I am thinking of like I stated above one of those CF front lips, eventually (Like within 30 days) a CF OEM style hood, and possible these rear CF lips. Just like the OEM "Optional" rear lips but CF...
I honestly don't think those look very good. I've seen them on a few cars and they just don't look right to me. Cars just kind of spattered with random bits of CF just really look wierd to me. Hood, lip, and mirrors are about all I would do unless it was something greatly functional such as the trunklid or in my case the roof skin.

Not a fan of CF... But like Erik said, they would get ruined real quick by driving with them.

If you're just interested in accenting, how about an OEM Black lip? And a black hood? I've seen several pics of that combo on CW and PY Rs, look hot to me. :) I actually like a solid gloss black over CF, as far as looks.

I'll one up this statement.

I think black hoods on non black cars is awful. Yuck.

There is only ONE condition where I like black panels on a non black car:
NSX-R style (like the proto nsx).
1. Black hood
2. Black roof
3. Black rear deck/wing
4. Possible black lip
5. Black cf mirrors ok too :P

all or nothing i say.

and the whole cf is brittle and expensive and theft worthy makes me cringe.

ugh. py with black hood = bumble bee. :barf:

the only bumble bee i want to see is the buzzin' hornets style Jordan F1 car from the late 90's early 00's. :)

but, its not my car, peeps can do whatever they want.

clitz - who does not like cw w/ black hood either, unless its aforementioned nsx-r ish stylez.

Yeah I hear all of ya, and respect your opinions!

I think I am going to get the Seibon CF front lip and call it a day. I have looked at that same lip for about 2 years now wanting it on the R. I stumbled the other day across the Invidia one and because it's the only other one I have found that came "UP" on the bumper also besides the ITR lip. It also caught my eye a little!

My plan for the R once I get it back is this...
I will be already moved into th enew house with a BIG garage (This Saturday). I have the CRX as a daily, so th eR will pretty much just come out on weekends and stuff like that. I dont wanna keep throwing all these miles on heR anymore. Over 90K now... Oh and time to start saving $ towards my new addition (Top Secret). I will unveil it not at this Expo, but I promise the next one in 08'!

yep, anything other than thetrunk lids, hoods, and roofs are solely for looks (which is completely fine), but other than that its really got no good qualities to me atleast. its expensive, more likely be damaged, and more likely to be stolen or attract people to steal other stuff. And since its an add on its no lighter than without.

Not knocking whatyou want man, just throwing a few things out there to consider.

Hell I could just get all CF stuff and paint um PY!

In Japan they paint about all their CF. Plus that keeps it a sleeper(HAHA, if thats possible with an ITR).

yep, if I were to get CF body panels i'd want them painted. Now with that said, if I get this roof skin I'd probably leave it CF for some time until I can afford to paint it and possibly a few other things.
