No museum would want it. A car like that sitting is about as good as a car like that being stolen and stripped. its a waste.

I've long pondered finding a clean, low mileage all original 97 and just holding onto it. If I had the extra cash right now, I'd be all over one. But for me to make payments on something I'm not driving doesn't make sense to me right now.

Yeah, I'm not crazy 'bout computer work either, but spend most of the day in front of several. :(
Sometimes 'ya gotta do what 'ya gotta do. Where are you moving to?
I got a cold call from a headhunter today...Lincoln, NE. WTF is in Nebraska?
Maybe to Utah for 5 months or so and then somewhere else on the east coast. < Morman Underpants Rifler >

I don't know what it is, but I could never really look at an ITR as a collector car. Maybe its just me.....
No, not just you. ITR's are made to generate grins 'whilst driving!
ITR's should be driven, FAST!
Should a sexy, totally hot woman like Dawn (just saw your pics on myspace DDOW!) be kept a virgin just because she's a sexy, totally hot woman? FTW!
And do I get points for comparing Dawn to an ITR? Finest handling car I've ever owned = Finest gurl in all of Alberta, would probably kick Danica Patricks' ass on the track or in a bar, turbo polisher extrordinaire, igloo builder, destroyer of worlds.
Normally I'd agree, but this is an exception. 99% of ITRs have been well driven to say the least, me thinks. This is one of the VERY FEW that will hopefully last a few generations and still be like new, for history's sake. Of the over 4000 ITRs to make it to our shores, we can save a few ultra-low mileage ones. :)

Ahhh the rant is complete, I think

But to some, this particular ITR's value as a perfect specimen is greater than it's thrill value on the street or the track. 8)

Oh of course. I just really can't see an ITR as a collector car. I'd feel really bad for an ITR that just sat, no matter what its worth. I feel the same way about classic Ferarris, muscle cars, and race cars. To me, they should all be driven. I'm the type that would buy a Porsche 959 and drive it everyday if it was feasable.

Erik, I agree it should be driven to a point. Think, if it's got 3k on the clock now, and I put say 1k a year on it. In 10 years it will still be a 98 car, only it will have 13k on it which by todays standards is still rediculously low.

true and that would be great. Although I'd take it to a track alot more than 1-2 times a year  Not to mention it certainly wouldn't be stock. I don't know....

LOL. Um, you got half of that right. d00d, I'm in one of the raver (or it used to be at least) capitals of the world. A lot of great DJ's came from here. But I listened to "electronic" music back in the rollerskating days.
