another newbie, well sort of!

Post by turbor »

hi guys i'm new here, even tho i've owned a 98cw that i turboed before. I just bought a 00nbp at an auction. It has sustained a very minnor fender bender in the front and back. The car comes from boston ma, it has 116k miles anybody know if its someone on the forum or that used to be on the forum? i don't have the badge number yet since i wont have the car before 2-3 weeks. So this will be my second one i bring back alive! The 98cw was a stolen recovery from nj, i never found the previous owner tho. I have pictures of it in its current state if someone wants to post them!
edit heres the link to them:

Looks like a somewhat easy fix, Good luck!

As for who's car, when you get the badge # That will help significantly.
Also the http://itrca.com/registry/browse.php will help you to track down the owner.. maybe.

thanks guys, how mutch would you have paid for it by the pics? here's a link to my old white one, thank god the current owner seems to still take good care of it, sold it 2 years ago. I'm a real itr freak, i sold it because after rebuilding it from scratch, i almost never took it out, i never ever saw rain when i had it, i wouldnt leave it out of sight (theft rate of itr's in montreal is very bad) i just coulnt justify having it in the garage for nothing..... i've regretted the move ever since, now i'm back hehe

found back an article on my old cw one, its in french tho hehe

trust me , i know the itr inside and out, my previous one was stripped to the BONE even all the metal brake lines that connect to the abs module and the wheels where cut.... It just that we never got the carbon fiber inserts in canada and i knew the 01 usd had them, wasent sure about the 00 thats all. Same for the 2 diffrent shades of black we never got them here either lol, but we dit get the red seats in 01 8) drool hehe. I should have gotten on this forum earlier, now i look like a noob hehe

update, got the car today, good news she's not in to bad of shape!, the rear end is a little worse than i expected, but nothing a little time on a frame machine won't solve. Also in the pics of the auction the god damm key was there, wasent there anymore when i got the car.... Pain in the ass to get the car in the garage, and get all the lacks off to get them redone... i'm changing the code, not taking any chances... even more of a pain in the ass to get the key programmed, since i don't even have one for the dealer to copy, i've been there before.... Its itr 00-0741 and its not in the registry :( i'll post pics later, now its melting in my garage lol) Looks like i will have to find some itr capets also, they're missing in the car, don't want to pay 400$ tho. The left rear suspension arm (the big long one that goes from front o back) is bent, i wonder if its the same as any other integra... think so, maybe stiffer bushings? Edit it's not the same part number dammit will be impossible to find used, always comes with 5lug swaps..
