Post by chue f lee »

Hi I just wanted everyones opinion on this.

I got a couple of dings and scratches on my type r.
I wonder if it was worth to fix every ding and scratch?

No idea how much this would cost?
Would it be wise to take it to the acura dealership to do this or would it be to expensive?

I really would like to get rid of the scrathec and dings TY.

Make sure you shop around at as many places you can. Do not accept the first offer.
You need to ask for their opinions, and facts of what their process is to fix each proplem.

It could be worth fixing all the damage, but it's up to you.

depending on where your dings are on the body...they can be fixed REALLY cheap. If it's not on any body lines they can be fixed and you prob won't be able to tell there was every anything there. I would look at getting the car touched up and not a full paint job. Your talking about 2-3g's on a full paint job if you want it to look good.

Also, don't be fooled by Acura they contract out there job's they dont do painting. So you'll pay a dealer price for a reg. paint job from a shop.

Also, while your searching around. If the shop you go to, the very 1st thing they ask is "Is your insurance paying for this" man, leave...cuz they are going to try and RAPE your insurance thats why they ask that shit. But I'd tell them that it's coming outta pocket and they know they need to keep the price down cuz they want your bussiness. Let us kno how it goes, also post some pictures of it man. Good luck

I had a few removed by Dr. Dent, there a paintless dent removeal service, did a real nice job and it only took a few months for the first of the second round of dings reappeared. I decided not to ahve them removved instead i bought a second car.

long story short you'll have them all removed and some ass hat will put a few more on for you.
