forget the ARC, get the Mugen no questions asked.
the mugen is designed to keep your throttle response with the use of the shorter length, but also collects cool air like an AEM. its the best of both worlds.
but if you really want the best bang for the buck. pick up the 3" aem, cut it at the bend and put a prototype velocity stack on the end. the trick to this design is getting the length right. i just made it as long as i could and we'll figure out which length works best for my application while tuning.

I have that ARC intake which I ran on my civic. The throttle response was great, the only thing I didnt like about it, it got HOT....to the point where you couldn't touch it.
I didn't run the filter part, I had a HKS shroom on it, but reguardless, the plenum thing got hot and that made me take it away. I would rather loose a few hp and have cool air going into my motor than a hot intake temp and a couple more HP. Just me.
I feel the same way about the AEM intake. I personally would rather have the stock arm which doesnt absorb much heat and a good filter than a metal pipe that gets hot in my engine bay...just food for thought...
