I might go 65" in the near future... but that is as big as I can go in such a small room.

Remember, it's not the size. It's how you use it. :P

I went in to buy a 50" (all I needed for the room size) and they had the same set in 60" on sale for the same price, so...

What kind of sound system are you using?

I WAS going to update my receiver and speakers until I found out about the baby.

SO old Yamaha receiver with Klipsch 3.1's and a Sunfire Signature sub.

Plasma(or LCD for that matter) are still uber expensive here, with a 52" still costing almost £2000(Sony)so God knows what a 65" would cost

Going to get a large flat screen sometime soon, and mount above our fireplace.Problem is,the walls in the house appear to have been made out of spit and talcum powder,so may have to re-think :(

if the walls are unable to support the weight then you can use the beams in the ceiling and hang the unit to the hight you want.

Yes Jim is doing good.

Pic is that of what he almost hit the other day... a deer (yes he's ok, no he didn't hit it)

John, if it's not the size, but rather something else... how did you get her... ah... NM... :P

New TV??? Eff you all... I'm in much need of a TV/Stereo/Speaker overhaul... No HDMI here yet... :(

Soon though, new Sharp Aquos (sp) 50" LCD, not decided yet on the other components yet though.

Dave, LCD's and Plasma's nice TV's but here are a few things to consider.

What type of viewing you do. Though they are better than they used to be, LCD's and Plasma's can get burn in if you watch a lot of programming with tickers.. ESPN, CNN etc One reason that I like the DLP.

If you choose to go LCD or plasma, for a crisper picture you should consider a plasma for any screen size larger than 40-42". LCD is a better 'bang for the buck' for sizes smaller than that.

cliff notes: Comp likes the DLP.

well just got out of the shower...
about 30mins ago the cops kicked us off the beach (Boo) they were just about to give us tickets and one of the guys is in the FDNY, we are in the clear.

I guess you can say they are doing their job, but writing tickets for fishing is absurd.

off to bed.

Nope... have had 2 projection TV's thus far, it's time to mount a big ass one on the wall. DLP is nice, I'm not discrediting that... BUT I want my flat screen. Mostly what I do is play a few video games, and watch the crap out of the Discovery suite and Fuel TV and Speed when GhayCAR isn't on... Maybe some Movies from the DVD player as well.

Oh... and I knew you were teh ghey with the ass bleed comment... Maybe it wasn't you who got her... NM... :P

Are there no tresspassing signs, or no fishing signs?

If not, you guys were in the right... They can't just kick you out/give tickets for nothing... :|
