GREEN ITR
GREEN ITR
Me and a friend and a few others have been tinkering with the fuel system of one of my ITR's, we used a modified ethanol conversion kit to allow it to run on E85 or E100(this took a while, it just tricks the computer into holding the injectors open longer to support the different burn properties of ethanol), anyway the first test run went well, I noticed an immediate difference in exhaust temperature on my meter. Though on the VTEC switch over it sputtered for a sec then took off, it felt good at the higher RPM, engine oil temp was more stable and the engine was a little quieter. I'm exploring alternative fuels because as you know gas is skyrocketing world wide and i'm not supporting any oil conglomerates passion for greed. If given the chance would any of you use a dual fuel in your ITR's I do admit there's a few bugs I neglected to mention but nothing that will damage the car. Atleast you'd able to go to the local hardware store and purchase your fuel by the bucket load for a few bucks.

I give you mad props for what you are doing. Making a green R would be a pretty sweet project. What kind of gas mileage have you noticed? Dyno runs? Many people praise E85 up and down however on paper its not as great as media makes it out to be. Be interesting to see some comparo.
