No fire.... just dead ants everywhere.
I stopped by Lowes and picked up some spray and dry pellets that are spread on the ground.
The ant issue seems to be fixed.... but daym. Loosing a/c 3 times in on week (4 days) sucks bawls.
I will pick up a spare switch and capacitor soon (to have on hand).

Ant pellets = worthless.
Bayer ant spray in the blue gallon jug = the only thing that works. Except for brake cleaner
I've had beer at VIR, Summit Point, CMP, Roebling, Road Atlanta, BeaveRun, Gingerman, MAM, Lowe's Motor Speedway...

Props to Willard for teh zillions of ants that woke up dead this mornin'.
And FYI, the reason you had the problem is that fire ants are sensitive to magnetic fields (like a relay) and will swarm to an area that has a magnetic field.
Or so I'm told.

After seing above vid, I think I'm coming down with a case 0' Cameltoesis.
It's rather hypnotic and soothing to watch.
